Many health organisations aim to integrate GIS technology nowadays, but there is a lack of resources and expertise to build up in-house GIS-projects. Web-GIS technologies provide GIS-tools on an Internet platform which can be used without additional training or other costs for the user.
This website comprises Web-GIS applications and research projects at the interface of Geography and Medicine. This includes on the one hand the description of spatial variations of disease and on the other hand the planning of health facilities.
